Tata Nexon- 14,423 Units

The first compact SUV is the Tata Nexon, which has the highest sales in the segment with 14,423 units sold. However, compared to the sales in last year May it is slightly lower and accounts for a 1% decline. Nexon is also set to get a major update in the next year that might boost the sales numbers even more.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza- 13,398 Units
Maruti Suzuki accounted for a significant YoY growth of 30% with their Brezza. They sold 13,398 units this year, their generation update for this compact SUV worked out well to bring in the numbers and make it the second most-selling car in the segment.

Tata Punch- 11,124 Units

The third-most selling SUV was the Tata Punch; this little feature-packed car has been trending since its launch. This micro SUV offers a decent package at a reasonable price and has been among Tata’s top-performing candidates. Tata also launched the CNG version this year with the latest twin-cylinder technology. Tata accounted for 9% YoY growth with 11,124 units sold.

Hyundai Venue-10,213 Units
Hyundai managed to get to fourth place with the Venue by selling 12,213 units, accounting for a 23% YoY growth. Hyundai also launched the N-line version of the compact SUV after the update to boost sales more.

Maruti Suzuki Fronz- 9863 Units

The last car in the top five candidates is the most recently launched Maruti Suzuki Fronx. This Baleno-based compact SUV had a successful entry into the market, with 9863 units sold last month.

Kia Sonet- 8251 Units
The next car on the list is the Kia Sonet. Kia managed to sell 8251 units last month, accounting for a 4% YoY growth. The Korean manufacturer is also working on updating it’s elder sibling Seltos soon with an added turbo petrol engine.

Mahindra XUV300- 5125 Units

Coming to the brand, which is known for its utility vehicles in India, Mahindra managed to sell 5125 units of the XUV300, accounting for a 2% YoY growth. They also launched the turbo Sportz version of this compact SUV this year to perk up sales.

Nissan Magnite- 2618 Units
Magnite takes credit for the brand’s survival in India. Nissan managed to sell 2618 units of this SUV last month, accounting for a significant 36% YoY growth. This car offers a decent set of features, along with a turbo petrol engine, at an affordable price.

Renault Kiger- 1713 Units
The last car on our list is the Kiger from Renault. They managed to sell 1713 units last month, accounting for a 24% YoY growth. However, its sibling, the above-stated Magnite, performed better.
