The American Muscle brand Ford has recently launched its new and upgraded offering for the Indian audience the BS6 compliant EcoSport at an attractive price of Rs. 8.04 lakhs for its 1.5-litre petrol variant and Rs. 8.54 lakhs for the 1.5-litre diesel engine variants.
On the Mechanical front, the petrol variant for the BS6 Ford EcoSport comes equipped with a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder engine pushing the maximum power output to 122hp with 149 Nm of torque. The engine also comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The petrol variant of the Ford EcoSport will have a total of seven variants. Also, with Ford discontinuing its 1.0-litre Ecoboost petrol engine the for the Indian market the company surely hopes to push the sales of its 1.5-litre diesel engine which eventually pushing the power to a good 100hp with 215Nm of maximum torque for the Ford EcoSport BS6.
The diesel variant for the EcoSport BS6 will be offered in a total of 6 variants, bringing the total updated variants to 13. Ford India has also announced that the EcoSport will also have a standard three-year or 1,00,000km warranty.
