Global NCAP began a campaign named #SAFERCARSFORINDIA back in 2014. The result was stupendous as many Indian cars were tested and rated accordingly. Few cars such as Tata Nexon, Tata Altroz, and Mahindra XUV300 were able to score the highest 5-star rating at the assessment. But what about Maruti Suzuki?
There was a disappointment at the hands of the largest manufacturer of the country. Maruti Suzuki has no 5-star rated car in its arena.
This has what forced Global NCAP’s head, David Ward, to challenge Maruti Suzuki and other manufacturers to build safe cars. He praised the Indian manufacturers, Tata Motors and Mahindra for their efforts to make roads safe.

He stated that it will be a big challenge for Maruti Suzuki to join the 5-star club. But it’s high time now and all the domestic and global brands need to look into the matter of safety.
Talking about the Mahindra XUV300, the compact SUV has received the highest score in adult occupancy. It scored a staggering 16.42 out of 17. It is also the first Indian car to get 4 stars for child occupancy.
