Hyundai i20 N-Line to be Launched in India by End of this Year

The era of N-Line is about to come to India! It’s a bit shocking but it’s true and who better than Hyundai itself who recently confirmed via the brand’s Instagram handle. The Korean carmaker recently posted a teaser of the Hyundai i20 N-Line with a hashtag coming soon.

For those of us who are unaware of what N-Line means It is simply a performance line-up that was introduced by Hyundai a few years back. Curren the Hyundai offers the i20, and the Elantra in the N-line lineup sold abroad.

Although earlier this year Hyundai had confirmed that the brand was thinking upon introducing the N-Line in India but nobody thought that it would be this early. Nevertheless, it will be really a treat to see what all features will the Indian N-line variant will boast and will it be able to compete with its European rivals or not.

Any information about the changes on the Indian variant?

  • However, apart from the launch announcement, Hyundai hasn’t revealed a single piece of information.
  • But going by speculations the Indian variant of the Hyundai i20 N-Line will be offered with one of the existing engines tuned to a performance level.
  • It is also expected to retain its 120PS 1-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual) and 7-speed DCT transmission options.

  • On the cosmetic front, the new N-line will boast a completely different attire and will feature a ton of cosmetic updates.
  • Other updated features include a retuned chassis and a revised brake system to handle the most powerful engine in the brand’s entire India lineup, touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof, ambient lighting, multifunctional among others.

What about its price?

  • Well, this is where the real thing comes into play. The soon to launch Hyundai i20 N-line is expected to be priced between Rs. 12.5-25 lakhs (Ex-Showroom).
