However, in order to maintain the momentum, Kia Motors has been working rigorously on in order to bring to a new line-up which is supposed to hit the roads by 2022. We have put together a list of 5 of the upcoming Kia cars which are about to make their debut in the domestic market.

Kia Soul EV
The Kia Soul EV will the offering from Kia to be its first electric vehicle in India. Rumours also suggest that the all-new electric compact SUV will hit the road by the end of 2020 or in the early months of 2021.
Talking about it power the Kia Soul EV will get its power from a 64kWh battery capable of making 201hp with 395 Nm of peak torque and can go from 0-100Kmph in a matter of whilst attaining a top speed of 450km on a single charge and is one of the most anticipated upcoming cars from Kia.
The Kia Soul EV can take upto 9.5 hours to charge via an AC charger while a DC fast charger will do the same in a matter of 60 minutes.

Kia Seltos X-line
Kia showcased the off-roading edition of the Seltos the Seltos X-line at the recently held Auto Expo 2020. This off-roading variant of the Seltos is basically a concept which will be offered with custom dual-tone paint scheme ad if compared with its regular cousin the new X-line will have a higher ground clearance all thanks to its custom 2-inch lift kit.
This off-roading SUV will get its power from a 1.6L turbocharged petrol unit good enough for generating 174hp whilst paired to a -speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and electronic AWD drivetrain system.

Kia Seltos Electric
Following the footsteps of MG, Korean auto giant Kia is all set to bring in the electrified version of its most selling compact SUV the Seltos and is rumoured to the roads by August 2020.
According to certain media reports, it is also rumoured that the Kia will only aim to produce less than 10,000 units of the electric SUV. Reports also suggested it might share its mechanical specs with the Kia Soul EV.

Kia Compact MPV
Amongst all these premium looking products, Kia is also planning to bring in a more subtle one for the MPV segment which will directly rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and will hit the markets by 2021.
Also rumoured are the reports this new compact MPV will be manufactured at Kia’s Anantapur based plant in Andhra Pradesh and will share its underpinning with the Kia Seltos.

Kia Sonet
The company is already all set to launch its first sub-4 metre SUV the Sonet which was also showcased at the recently held Auto Expo 2020. The official launch timeline still remains unknown but it is for sure that the Sonet will support a 1.2L naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5L diesel and a 1.0L turbo petrol unit and is the most anticipated upcoming Kia cars.
All the engine units will come paired to either a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit. Surprisingly the Sonet will the first in its segment to feature an iMT (Intelligent manual transmission) with auto-rev matching.
