A lot of the features that we see on our daily drivers now, were once only available in super high-end, luxury cars. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
The first passenger vehicle that came out with a TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system) was the Porsche 959 in the year 1986. The 959 was then, the world’s fastest street-legal production car, so you can imagine why it needed technology like the TPMS. Fast forward to today, multiple cars across the range like the Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite and the Tata Nexon are equipped with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

Panoramic Sunroof
Remember back in the day when we used to imagine standing out of the sunroof (which is highly unsafe, please don’t do that) of a Mercedes or a BMW, taking in the flowing wind. Well you can do that in an i20 now. The entire concept of having a sunroof sounded so luxurious some time back. But now, even panoramic sunroofs have normalized in the market, moreover, they have become a mandatory feature for most buyers.
