The American carmaker has its manufacturing plant setup in Pune. Jeep currently exports the right-hand driven Compass to markets such as the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Japan, Indonesia, Nepal and Thailand.

Tata Harrier
The design 2.0 language of Tata Motors is surely a gamechanger, Tata Harrier depicts this belief. And when it comes to the road presence, Harrier surely makes a name for it. Tata Motors has also unveiled the 6-7 seater version of Harrier and very cleverly named it Safari. Tata Motors also exports the SUV to major Asian markets.

Korean carmaker Hyundai launched its first sub-compact SUV back in 2019 and it began with a good sales figure. Hyundai Venue is still one of the most sought-after in its segment. Hyundai exports Venue to Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius etc.

It is great to know that India is exporting so many models, specially the Tata harrier. Tata’s acquisition of JLR some years back has certainly helped boost its R&D capabilities and given it a new standing in this sector.
It is unfortunate that I don’t see any of Mahindra’s models in this list. I remember way back in the early 2000’s seeing a consignment of Bolero’s being unloaded in Piraeus, Greece. At the time I was sailing as a Ch.Engineer with Mitsui’s car carrier fleet. I hope that M&M rectify the situation soon. While it is true that M&M has locked horns with FCA in the US regarding the Roxor, but I had hoped that it would not affect its exports to other countries
