Well, that was the clear explanation of the bigger umbrella. Now coming to the E variants, these are the ones that Mahindra recently launched. These variants are a part of only Z2 and Z4. These two trims include additional safety features that include, Hill Hold Assist and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Well, these two were only available with Z4 automatic trims. But now, with the E variants, they can also opt.
The next bifurcation is the engine and transmission.
Mahindra ScorpioN Engine and Transmission
The SUV ScorpioN comes with a couple of engine options, a diesel and a petrol. The petrol engines displace 2.0-litres and the diesel displaces 2.2-litres. Also, both engines are turbocharged. So, speaking of power, the petrol engine is capable of generating a peak power of 200bhp and 370Nm of peak torque. This engine also comes with an option to choose from a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed AT (Torque Converter).

On the contrary, the 2.2-litre diesel engine comes with two engine tunes. The one with lower power output is a part of the Z2 variants. But the Z4 variant and above get the more powerful iteration of the diesel engine. Speaking of power, one diesel engine generates peak power of 130Nm and 300Nm of torque. This engine is also a part of Mahindra Thar and Mahindra Scorpio Classic. Well, this engine only comes with a 6-speed manual transmission with no option for an automatic.
The more powerful engine generated a peak power of 172bhp and 370Nm of maximum torque. Unline the other diesel engine this one gets an option of a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed automatic transmission.
