Another month has gone by and with this, we complete the first month of 2023. Well, if we talk about cart sales, Maruti Suzuki has been the market leader ever since and yet again, it has entered the new year with an increased sale figure in every segment! Maruti car sales for January 2023 have been exceptionally good! The Fronxx and the Jimny have made the automaker record a whopping 4 lakh pending order figure! Alongside, the automaker has revealed the sales figure which we have brought right here for you!
For the month of January 2023, Maruti ended up with 1,47,348 Units with a 14.49% YoY increase from January 2022 (1,28,924 units). This was an 18,424 unit increase. The MoM increase by 31.55% as compared to December 2022.
In the PV mini segment, we have the Alto and the S-Presso where 25,446 units were sold in January 2023 as compared to 18,456 units in January 2022. Similarly, Maruti car sales in January 2023 also saw an increase in the compact segment that includes Baleno, Celerio and Dzire. This segment sold a total of 73,840 units in comparison to 71,472 units sold in the same month last year.
The only car that saw a dip in the sales is Ciaz. This sedan sold a total of 1,000 units, unlike 1,666 units that were sold last year. Last but not least, Maruti’s Eeco van also saw an increase to 11,709 units from 10,528 units in the last year.
