Kia Carens
Hyundai sister brand Kia seems to be planning to enter the MPV segment to challenge the king himself with the Kia Carens which takes the first spot on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga rivals list.
However not much is know of the MPV but whatever we could find consists that the Carens MPV will underpin the Kia Selto’s platform and is also claimed to be the most affordable MPV of all time. Just like the Seltos the Carnes will be assembled at the company’s Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh.

MG 360 M
The 360M MPV from MG is the latest addition to Morris’ Garage. MG is back at it again tapping an all-new but lucrative car segment. The Chinese owned British company will attempt to enter the MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) segment with this car.
The MG 360M MPV gets its power from a 1.5-litre petrol engine which generates 105 PS power and a torque of 135 Nm. The engine comes mated with a CVT automatic transmission. The thing to note here is the fact that the same engine is found under the bonnet of the MG Hector. The MG360M MPV might also bring s diesel transmission when it comes to India.

Hyundai Custo
Next up on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga rivals list id the Hyundai Custo who unlike its sister brand is planning to bring a much-rugged MPV later this year. With that said Hyundai has already started to test the Custo MPV in China.
Under the hood, we can expect a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine to power this one. This engine will be coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox as per what we know till now! We can surely expect some mild hybrid or any other electrification technology to keep a check on the fuel economy.

Toyota Avanza
Toyota is also set to bring in another C-segment MPV which will become an active Maruti Ertiga rival. Interestingly for those of us who are not aware of the current situation, Maruti Suzuki already works in a JV with Toyota which goes by the name of ‘NEXA’.
Rumour also has it that Toyota could rebadge the existing Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and relaunch it as a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga rival just as they did with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno which was rebadged and sold as the Toyota Glanza.
