This upcoming car will be a compact SUV, placed above the Brezza. Maruti is working on this SUV along with Toyota, so both brands will be launching this car as their own products. These SUVs will be built on an all-new platform, called the DNGA platform; this also underpins a lot of Toyota cars sold overseas.

Yes, that’s right! A strong hybrid system is what is going to be a key differentiator for Maruti and Toyota. This Petrol based hybrid engine will be able to run on electric power for some distances, making city commutes tremendously cost-efficient.

Maruti would need to make this SUV extremely feature-loaded since the Koreans have already spoiled us with a plethora of features. It would be interesting to see this car with new features because both Toyota and Maruti are not known to be generous with features!
