MG is getting ready to cook up a storm in the Indian Automobile industry again. And this time by bringing a rival to the Toyota Innova Crysta. The MPV model which was spotted in India is the same as the one sold in China. It is named Maxus G10 and comes with 7, 9 and 10 seater options.
MG Maxus G10 | Engine Specifications
As there are no official specifications released yet we can expect it to be quite similar to the Chinese model.
- Maxus G10 comes in a 2.0-litre 16 Valve turbocharged engine.
- The engine will be outputting 215hp and 330 Nm of peak torque.
- It only comes in a single transmission option: a 6-speed Automatic transmission.
- It can reach a top speed of 190 Km/hr.
The specifications stated above are for the flagship version.
The Maxus comes under SAIC which is the parent company of MG however in India it will come under MG branding. After having successful sales of Hector and ZS EV, MG is going to keep the ball rolling and showcase the MPV in Auto Expo 2020.
MG Maxus G10 | Interior and Exterior
As MG wants the Maxus G10 to be a rival to Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga it will need to have a lot of features while being a bang for the buck.
- A 10” touchscreen infotainment system with volume control buttons on the steering wheel.
- Captain seats with leg support ensure the car has both the look and feel of a luxury vehicle.
- A wide aisle in the middle allows going to the third row easier and not a chore.
- It has auto levelling headlamps that are complemented by the DRLs.
- A Panoramic Sunroof will add to the luxury.
The Maxus G10 is not the only car under SAIC that is being showcased as MG is expected to show over 14 new cars in Auto Expo all of which come under SAIC branding.
It is to be noted that all the features mentioned above are for the Maxus G10 which is already available in China and the specifications might change to better suit the Indian market.
