Top 10 Most Selling Cars in India | August 2021

Yesterday we took you through the top 10 most selling car brands in India for the month of August 2021. If you haven’t checked that out yet, here you go.

In today’s featured, we are going to cover the top 10 most selling cars in India. No doubt, the majority will be held by Maruti Suzuki only but let’s see what other brands have been able to sell from their lineup in the previous month.

  1. Maruti Suzuki Baleno (15,646 Units)

    In the picture above, you would see the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift. For now, what we have in the market is the one that has ranked as the top-selling car in India for the month of August 2021. Talking about the figures, this premium hatch from MSIL sold 15,646 units with a YoY growth of 45.65%!

    Another car that needs a facelift ASAP! Well, we don’t know when this one in the picture will be here in the market but what we have for now is the same old Alto that still sells better than many other hatches in the Indian market! Among the top-selling cars for August 2021, Alto stands second with a sale of 13,236 units and a YoY decrease of 8.06%.

  3. Maruti Brezza (12,906 Units)

    This one has proved its mettle once again because most of us thought that the high petrol prices wouldn’t allow a petrol-only SUV to sell in the market. But here’s Maruti Suzuki Brezza for you with a sale of 12,906 units. It has shown a YoY growth of 86.96 units!

  4. Hyundai Creta (12,597 Units)

    This SUV has definitely climbed up the charts this time. The Hyundai Creta has seen a huge rise in sales this time with a closing number of 12,597 units which is almost 9% more than what it sold in the same month last year. The first one from the Hyundai family to be in the top 10 most selling cars in August 2021.

  5. Maruti Swift (12,483 Units)

    Once this hatch enters the Indian market with company fitted CNG, you would see a sudden boom in sales. The Indian audience is so crazy about Swift that they buy it and go for aftermarket kits rather than buying Celerio or Santro! Now that MSIL is ready to bring it with company fitted CNG, it will sell even more. For August 2021, it sold 12,483 units with a YoY drop of 16%.

    Another one from the house of MSIL that we always have on the list of top 10 selling cars in India. Maruti Eeco has always been a part of the top-selling cars because this one provides utility at its peak. One of the most value for money vehicles that you would see in the Indian market is the Eeco with a sale of 10,666 units in the month of August 2021 and a YoY growth of 17.02%.

  7. Tata Nexon (10,006 Units)

    The flagbearer of the Indian automaker in the Indian market. Tata Nexon is at the 7th rank for the sales report of August 2021. Crossing the 10,000 mark is a very good thing for a car like Nexon. This clearly indicates a stage where this car or possible the brand as a whole is ready to compete with Maruti Suzuki in the near future!

    The most famous tallboy of the Indian market, Maruti Suzuki WagonR. This car is among the top-selling cars in India every time you see the sales report. FOr the month of August 2021, India’s fav tallboy ended up selling 9,628 units with a drop of over 30%. The drop is majorly due to the growing competition. What do you think?

    The Korean automaker still has only 3 cars in its Indian lineup. The Kia Seltos is the one to enter the top 10 list this time. For August 2021, the Creta rival ended up selling 8,619 units with a YoY drop of 19%.

  10. Hyundai Venue (8,377 Units)

    Last but not least, we have the Hyundai Venue on our list. With a sale of 8,377 units, this one showed a 1.33%. The only thing to wonder is that Kia Sonet is not even here on the list! Why do you think it is so.
