New Maruti Suzuki Baleno Fully Revealed!

The updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno is just days away from its launch, and spy shots have been already floating online. The much-awaited audience is now finally witnessing what they have booked. let’s see how the car looks without camouflage:

• Engine & Transmission
  

  

  The new Baleno will be offered with a single-engine option. It might be the new K12 1.2-litre petrol engine. It will be equipped with variable valve timing & an integrated starter generator, which supports the start/stop technology to enhance fuel economy further.

  However, this is different from the mild-hybrid tech, which runs on other cars such as Brezza and lacks the slight electric power boost which drives the wheels. Maruti will offer this engine with a 5-speed manual & 5-speed AMT transmission.

• Exterior
  

  

  Baleno gets a new & broader front grille with a honeycomb pattern with the update. It also features a silver accent at the base and wrap-around headlamps. The new headlights are more expansive and feature a new LED DRL signature. The lighting will be a projector set up with the higher variants equipped with LEDs.

  The hood is also now flattened with extensive fog lamp housings. The side profile seems unchanged and similar to the current model with more chrome accents. The rear features a revamped bumper with sharper C-shaped LED taillamps.

  The 2022 Baleno features a new interior with a layered dashboard similar to the global spec S-Cross available overseas. The new layered dashboard features three colour elements with a black top, silver lining in the middle and lower elements as blue.

  It is equipped with a new free-standing touchscreen with new gear for automatic climate control, among other significant updates. The steering wheel is similar to the swift and a new instrument cluster with a MID in the middle and upmarket upholstery.

• Features & Price
  

  Maruti Suzuki will sell the Baleno in four variants; Alpha, Delta, Sigma & Zeta. The base variant features steel wheels, remote central locking, LED taillamps, dual front airbags, automatic climate control, & ABS.

  The top Alpha variant is equipped with four airbags, a rear washer wiper, keyless entry & connected car tech, a heads up display and a 360-degree camera. Maruti has added features such as wing mirrors with ESP & hill start assist for the AMT trims as we go up the list. Maruti might hike the prices a little, and we can have an approximate range from 6.5-10.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
