Used Maruti Suzuki Brezza vs. New Brezza | Which One To Buy?

Buying a car is a feeling beyond words. After all, more than just a mobility solution, cars are a part of who we are. And while it is indeed smarter to purchase a pre-owned car, the feeling of getting brand-new wheels straight out of the showroom is nothing short of amazing. And with new generations of iconic cars like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza already in the market, the dilemma of whether to buy a pre-owned Brezza or a brand new one is bothering a lot of buyers. Well, here’s a little help from our side.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza vs. Pre-Owned Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: Dimensions

As far as dimensions are concerned, both cars are identical except for the height, where the new generation Maruti Suzuki Brezza offers a 45 mm taller bodyline, thanks to the addition of roof rails. But other than that, both cars are absolutely the same regarding dimensions, which is something that favours the pre-owned Vitara Brezza, which offers a big price advantage.

Torque 137 Nm 138 Nm

Mileage 20.15 km/l (manual) 19.8 km/l (automatic) 17.03 km/l (manual) 18.76 km/l (automatic)

While both vehicles offer an identical 1.5-litre petrol burner, the new Maruti Brezza offers 2 PS lesser power and 1 NM lesser torque which we feel isn’t much of a difference in the real world. But with that said, unlike the pre-owned Vitara Brezza that offered a Mild-Hybrid only with the automatic trims, the new Brezza offers the same Mild-Hybrid tech as standard across all variants, which translates to better mileage both in the manual as well as auto. Thus, the new Brezza takes this one.

If you are a fan of new-age features and offerings, the Pre-Owned Vitara Brezza might seem a little outdated to you. This is because a pre-owned Vitara Brezza will miss out on features such as a sunroof, telescopic steering adjustments, premium Arkamys sound system, 360-degree camera, connected car tech, ambient lighting, wireless charger and heads-up display. At the same time, a pre-owned Vitara Brezza will also offer a smaller touch infotainment and older interiors. If you can live without all the additional goodies, only then the pre-owned Brezza is for you.

Absolutely the same in terms of structure, both cars offer a good level of safety with the pre-owned Vitara Brezza even rated 4 stars in terms of Safety by the GNCAP. But with that said, the new age Brezza, despite missing out on rain-sensing wipers, offers a lot of new safety additions such as up to 6 airbags, ESC and a rear parking camera, which we believe is quite a substantial addition for safety.

Maruti Brezza Pre-Owned Maruti Vitara Brezza
Base variants Rs.8.99 lakhs (On Road, Delhi) Rs. 7 to 7.5 Lakhs (On-Road Purchase Price)
Mid variants Rs. 10.60 – 12.70 lakhs (On Road, Delhi) Rs. 7.8 to 8.5 (On-Road Purchase Price)
Top variant Rs. 12.74 – 16.05 lakhs (On Road, Delhi) Rs. 8.5 to 9.5 lakhs (On-Road Purchase Price)

Despite being a superb package over the old Vitara Brezza, the price of the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza disappointed many. From the base model itself, the price difference is as high as 1.5 lakhs. For the Mid trims, the difference is roughly around Rs. 2.5 to 4 Lakhs and for the Top End Trims, the gap is substantial at around 3.5 to 6 Lakhs. So as far as price is concerned, savings of as much as 6 Lakhs can fetch you a fully equipped Pre-Owned Vitara Brezza, and you will miss only a handful of additional features.
