1984 Maruti 800 Restored! Is It Still Any Good? [Video]

Maruti Suzuki launched its Maruti 800 in 1983 and changed the face of the automobile industry forever. The car was more compact than the Ambassador and gave a better performance than Fiat. The Japanese cutting edge technology had made the car zippy, easy to drive and very spacious and comfortable. The car was priced at ₹ 45000, which was almost half the price of Ambassador. Maruti 800 grabbed the middle-class imagination and was perhaps the first choice among cars that were sold in India.

The video above was uploaded by Turbo Xtreme on their youtube channel. In the video, a restored version of the 1984 Maruti 800  version has been showcased. The car retains the shape and size of its patriarch model while some of the interior designs have been altered. It now has an AC and an RPM meter as well. The modified version has alloy wheels, unlike the original steel ones. The car has power steering and power brakes which were not present earlier.
