It has been officially confirmed that Tata Motors will be launching their all-new Tata Altroz; on 22nd of January 2020. The Tata Altroz will be competing with the likes of the Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza, Honda Jazz and the segment leader Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The price range for the new Tata Altroz is expected to be in the range of Rs. 5-8 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Tata Altroz was first showcased at the Geneva motor show earlier in 2019.
Tata Altroz Vs Rivals | How Does It Stand?
Powering the Tata Altroz will be two engines; 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel (both BS6 compliant). The Tata ALtroz will feature a 1.2-litre BS6 petrol engine produces 86hp of power and 113Nm of peak torque while the 1.5-litre diesel motor gives out 90hp and 200Nm torque. There are also rumours of Tata introducing a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine in the future line-up.
The First Tata Altroz Rolls Out | Launch Ahead
Both these engines will be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox on the Tata Altroz. However, Tata has officially confirmed that a dual-clutch automatic gearbox will also be part of the Altroz line-up.

The Altroz XE will be the starting variant (base model) of the Altroz line-up. The XE will sport ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, central locking, Manual AC and two driving modes; City and Eco

The Altroz Rhythm will get all the above features from the base variant. On top of that, the car will also feature a 3.5-inch infotainment system along with 4 door-mounted speakers, dual-horn and a foldable key.

Tata Altroz XM
Apart from having all the features from the above two models, the Altroz XM will get the same infotainment as of the XE variant by Harman, power windows, electrically adjustable, folding wing mirrors, rear parking assist via the infotainment display and Tata’s very own ambient lighting (only for driver footwell).

Tata Altroz XM | Rhythm
The Altroz XM Rhythm will get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the 3.5-inch one. The infotainment system will be paired to the 4 door-mounted speakers. The car will also get a reverse park assist camera.

Tata Altroz XM | Style
The Altroz XM Style will add 16-inch steel wheels and a contrast black roof with body-coloured wing mirrors. This variant will also get front and rear fog lamps along with LED DRL’s.

Tata Altroz XT
The real fun starts with the Altroz XT variant which gets 7.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment by Harman, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto push-button start, cruise control, rear camera display, Idle start-stop system, LED DRL’s and to top it off a 7.0-inch TFT digital instrument cluster.

The Altroz XT Urban get exterior colour coordinated interiors 16-inch diamond-cut alloys, body-coloured wing mirrors and a contrast black roof.

The top-of-the-line Altroz XZ gets 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, projector headlamps, automatic climate control, ambient mood lighting, automatic headlamps, rear AC vents, rain-sensing wipers, wearable wristband key, steering-mounted controls and front and rear armrests.
