Tata Altroz vs Rivals | Engine Specifications
Car Models | Engine Specifications | Emission Compliance | Power (HP) | Peak Torque (Nm) |
Tata Altroz | 1.2-litre Revotron Petrol | BS6 | 85 | 113 |
1.5-litre turbocharged Revotorq Diesel | BS6 | 89 | 200 | |
Maruti Suzuki Baleno | 1.2-litre Dualjet Petrol | BS6 | 89 | 113 |
Hyundai Elite i20 | 1.2-litre Petrol | BS4 | 83 | 115 |
Honda Jazz | 1.2-litre Petrol | BS4 | 89 | 110 |
1.5-litre Diesel | BS4 | 98 | 200 |
Although Honda Jazz is the most powerful among all the hatchbacks mentioned here, the major point to note here is that the engines are BS4-compliant which means that they won’t be available after the BS6 norms are implemented. Hyundai Elite i20 is going to get updated to BS6 soon. Thus Altroz is the best buy for now if Hyundai and Honda don’t upgrade the engines. Maruti Baleno has got higher power than the Altroz but the peak torque is the same.
