Camouflage images of a new Nexon have been circulating online. We suppose its the Tata Nexon DCT! The test mule was spotted in Pune. The car had a fresh camouflage and an automatic gearbox as per the spotter. The Nexon is expected to have the same DCT as the Altroz and the variant is expected to be the top of the line variant if it comes into production. Earlier we had also heard about a 1-litre turbo engine to make its way into the Nexon but the spy shots received suggest otherwise!

The Tata Nexon DCT spotted also points towards the same gearbox can be expected in the Altroz as well. The new BS6 compliant engine on the Tata Nexon facelift generates 118 bhp at 5000RPM. This power figure is 10bhp more than what the Nexon used to generate in its BS4 avatar. This petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox as of now.
Talking about the Tata Nexon DCT, we don’t know whether it will be available with both the petrol and diesel engines on the Tata Nexon but FYI, the current version of the Tata Nexon diesel boasts a 1.5-litre Revotorq oil burner which produces 108 bhp at 4000 rpm and 260 Nm of peak torque between 1500-2750 rpm.

Tata Nexon DCT may be launched anytime this year as the new gearbox is highly awaited.
