Tata Gravitas is based on the OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced) platform just like the Harrier. The Gravitas has similar design elements. The only difference is the extended rear overhang and taller roof. The roof has been made so to accommodate the third row of seats. The Gravitas made its debut at the Geneva motor show. It was named as Tata Buzzard but somehow Tata changed the name to Gravitas.
Tata Gravitas is expected to launch in India in August 2020. It could be priced between Rs. 17 lakh and Rs. 21.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Under the bonnet, the Gravitas derives power from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Kryotec70 diesel engine. The BSVI compliant motor is good enough to develop a maximum power output of 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque.
Talking about the key features of the Tata Gravitas, we can say that 17-inch alloy wheels, larger quarter glass area and restyled LED tail lamps to add on to the look of the SUV. The 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the inside along automatic climate control, nine-speaker audio, leather seat upholstery, and six-way powered adjustable driver seat justify the premium feel of the SUV!
