What is the Toyota bZ4X Electric SUV?
To further its glorious goal of electric mobility, Toyota recently unveiled the bZ4X in the United States. The Japanese Automaker has however launched the bZ4X only in the American and Japanese markets, as of now, following a much-anticipated launch in other potential markets such as China, South Korea, etc. later.
The Specs of the bZ4X Electric SUV
Underpinned by the Japanese automaker’s renowned e-TNGA architecture that is specially crafted for Electronic Vehicles, the bZ4X Electric SUV will compete with the EVs such as the Hyundai’s Ioniq5, Kia’s EV6, etc.
To woo the potential customers and to beat the fierce competition, Toyota is boasting a claimed range of a massive 559 km for the bZ4X SUV. Intending to sell as many as 5,000 units of the electric vehicle globally in its first year, Toyota seems to be quite positive.
In terms of detailed specs, the bZ4X is offered in two configurations — FWD and AWD. While the former will deliver a maximum power output of 201 bhp with 265 Nm with a range of 559 km, the latter will offer 214 bhp worth of power with 336 Nm of torque and a range of 540 Km. Besides the battery pack, the electric SUV will also offer an optional solar panel for the roof that will reduce ownership costs and increase driving range.

The Looks and Interiors and Price
When it comes to looks, the electric SUV looks absolutely stunning and contemporary. Size-wise, the SUV is 15 cm longer than the popular RAV4 and 5 mm wider than Toyota’s best-selling crossover. Evidently, the vehicle comes with the highest amount of legroom in the mid-size SUV segment in the USA.
On the inside, the bZ4X will offer a 4G modem that can link with up to 5 devices. Moreover, there will also be top-notch features such as 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment. The sound will be provided by JBL, through a capable 9-speaker set-up with an 8-channel amplifier and a 9-inch subwoofer. Developed jointly by Toyota and Subaru the Toyota bZ4x is priced from USD 42,000 onwards.
