Well, it is no secret that India’s largest automobile manufacturer and Japanese automobile giant Toyota have joined hands in a JV to benefit each other on a domestic as well as global scale. the JV comprises of Toyota passing its technical knowledge and Maruti making sure that the knowledge is put into use somewhere.

The most successful example of this JV was the MSIL Baleno, which was then rebadged by Toyota and was sold as Glanza. Additionally, MSIL will in-return help Toyota in finding low-cost suppliers which will indeed help the Japanese carmaker price its cars equal to its competitors.
Not only that Toyota is also planning to bring in the rebadged version of the Ertiga, Vitara Brezza and Ciaz.

Speaking on the JV Executive Vice-President, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Shigeki Terashi said, “India is one of the countries in which is company plans to sell BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles). He also said that the small electric car being co-developed with Suzuki is in the early stages. The upcoming model will use the same body shell as the India-spec Wagon R and will likely cost roughly Rs 10 lakh.”
That’s not all these two brands will also be sharing CNG models in the domestic market while Maruti has simply cleared its stand to expand its CNG portfolio in the new BSVI era with chances that Toyota could also rebadge these cars under its name.
