10 Upcoming Cars We Are Looking Forward To For The Year 2021

Car manufactures have lined up with their best offerings for 2021. There are plenty of cars set to go out next year and we expect that car enthusiasts and buyers won’t be disappointed. Many have chosen to be the trailblazers of sustainability in the automotive industry by rolling out the electric variants of many of their existing models. Here are 10 cars that caught our eye. Which ones are your favourite?

  1. Tata HBX

India’s very own Tata Motors is set to launch its new HBX in the micro SUV segment at the beginning of next year. A 1.2-litre 4-cyl diesel that displaces 1198cc might power the car. We anticipate they’ll price HBX at 5 lakhs.

However, we don’t expect a variant of the Tata HBX with a gasoline engine. This indeed is going to come as a drawback. The micro SUV would face competition from cars like Mahindra’s eKUV100.

  2. Mahindra eKUV100

Also supposed to launch at the beginning of 2021, Mahindra eKUV100 would be a fast-charging electric car. We expect the ex-showroom price of this car to be around 8.25 lakhs. This means that eKUV100 would be much more pocket friendly compared to other EVs that will hit the market in 2021. It might also get a variant will automatic transmission. But, the range of this all-electric vehicle is likely to be 147 km.

  3. Tata Altroz EV

Tata Altroz is a fan favourite and we are looking forward to getting our hands on this much sustainable option, Tata Altroz EV. We feel that compared to Mahindra’s electric micro SUV this electric hatchback would be priced a bit higher at 14 lakhs. However, it is sure to be accompanied by Tata’s impressive safety. So there is little reason to complain.

Just like the eKUV100, Tata Altroz EV will come with a fast-charging battery and automatic transmission. With a lot of speculations surrounding its launch, we hope Altroz EV would be out in the market by July next year.

Slated to be released in April 2021, the next generation Mahindra XUV500 is expected to be above all to be spacious. Along with this, both petrol and diesel variants would be available for this car. We presume the ex-showroom price of this car will be 25 lakh and up. With a stylish exterior, this SUV would also come with a robust engine. Mahindra would also offer manual or automatic transmission alternatives for this car.

  5. Volkswagen Taigun

This mid-sized SUV from Volkswagen is not only going to be affordable but is also expected to come with much better performance compared to the other automobiles in the segment. We are expecting Volkswagen Taigun to be priced from 10 lakhs onwards. Along with this, the German car would be supplemented by a 1498cc petrol engine, automatic transmission and a set of several other functional capabilities.

  7. Mercedes-Benz GLA 2020

They have planned the release of the 2020 version of the GLA for January 2021. For a Mercedes, GLA had always been a budget-friendly car. So this one too would only cost you around 33.50 lakhs. Besides, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA might come with a 1398cc petrol engine paired with a manual transmission. Matching affordability (again, for a Merc) and luxury along with the automaker’s signature elegant exterior this car is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

  8. Next-gen Maruti Suzuki Celerio

Likely to be released next year this car would be based on the company’s new platform Hartech. Moreover, we anticipate that they’ll price this hatchback at a very modest Rs.4.5 lakhs. We presume that Celerio will lock horns with the likes of the Hyundai Santro.

  9. Tata Hexa Safari

We expect that the relaunch of the Tata Hexa would happen next year. However, the car was originally meant to be released this year. Hexa would have a good 2.2-litre engine. Expected to be priced at around 14 lakh this SUV is sure to win us over on affordability.

  10. Audi A4

This mid-size luxury sedan from the German carmaker Audi will hit the Indian market in ’21 and would be priced at around 40 lakhs. Along with a powerful petrol engine, the sedan would flaunt a jaw-dropping 8-speed automatic transmission. Blending sophistication with comfort Audi A4 might offer a very enjoyable driving experience.

Audi, Porsche, Toyota, Hyundai, Mahindra have all got cars launching to kick-off 2021. BMW M5 Facelift, Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine, Porsche Taycan are set to come out next year and has positively gotten us drooling. All the more reason to look forward to 2021 we would say!
