Car manufactures have lined up with their best offerings for 2021. There are plenty of cars set to go out next year and we expect that car enthusiasts and buyers won’t be disappointed. Many have chosen to be the trailblazers of sustainability in the automotive industry of the country rolling out their electric car options. Here are 10 cars that caught our eye. Which ones are your favourite?
India’s very own Tata Motors is set to launch its new Tata HBX in the micro SUV segment at the beginning of next year. This car would be powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cyl. diesel with a high engine displacement of 1198cc. We anticipate that HBX would be priced at 5 lakhs.
We don’t expect Tata HBX to have a gasoline engine variant. This indeed is going to come as a drawback. The micro SUV would face competition from Mahindra’s KUV100.
Also supposed to launch at the beginning of 2021, Mahindra eKUV100 would be a long-range fast-charging electric car. With an expected ex-showroom price of 8.25 lakhs, this would be much more pocket friendly compared to other EVs that are anticipated to make an appearance in the subsequent year. We expect eKUV to come with a range of 147kms per charge. Additionally, it will also have an added advantage of automatic transmission.
Tata Altroz EV
Tata Altroz is a fan favourite and we are looking forward to getting our hands on this much sustainable option, Tata Altroz EV. We feel that compared to Mahindra’s micro SUV EV this electric hatchback would be priced a bit higher at 14 lakhs. However, it is sure to be accompanied by Tata’s impressive safety features. So this gives us little reason to complain.
Just like the eKUV100, Tata Altroz EV will come with a fast-charging battery and automatic transmission. With a lot of speculations surrounding its launch, we hope Altroz EV would be out in the market by July next year.

Mahindra XUV500 Next-Gen
Slated to be released in April 2021, the next generation Mahindra XUV500 is expected above all to be spacious. Besides, it would have a front-wheel drive, which means we can expect good handling and better mileage from this SUV. Along with this, both petrol and diesel variants would be available for this car. We presume this car to be appraised from 25 lakh and up. With a stylish exterior, SUV would also come with a robust engine. Mahindra would also offer manual or automatic transmission alternatives for this car.
This mid-sized SUV from Volkswagen is not only going to be affordable but is also expected to come with much better performance compared to the other automobiles in the segment. We are expecting Volkswagen Taigun to be priced from 10 lakhs onwards. Along with this, the German car would be supplemented by a 1498cc petrol engine, automatic transmission and a set of several other functional capabilities.
Volvo S60 sedan is scheduled to launch in India in 2021. This luxury sedan would be priced at around 45 lakhs. Furthermore, it would come with some cool specs as well. It is said to have an incredibly powerful petrol engine. It will have an engine displacement of 1998cc. Hence, the vehicle is sure to have a lot of horsepowers. But too much fuel consumption as a result of this massive engine displacement can potentially dampen the car’s mileage.
Mercedes-Benz GLA 2020
Planning to be released in January 2021 this SUV is priced would be priced at around 33.50 lakhs. With a manual transmission, Mercedes-Benz GLA is sure to give the user a hands-on driving experience. Along with this, the car would offer a 1398cc petrol engine with good mileage. With the automaker’s signature elegant exterior this car is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for Mercedes lovers.
Next-gen Maruti Suzuki Celerio
Likely to be released next year this car would be based on the company’s new platform Hartech. With a classic looking chassis and good wheelbase, this car is expected to win hearts. Anticipated to be priced at a very modest Rs.4.5 lakh this hatchback is presumed to lock horns with the likes of Hyundai Santro.
Tata Hexa Safari
We expect that the relaunch of the Tata Hexa would happen next year. However, the car was originally meant to be released this year. Hexa would have a good 2.2-litre engine and two gearboxes. Expected to be priced at around 14 lakh this SUV sure to win us over on affordability.
This mid-size luxury sedan from the German carmaker Audi will hit the Indian market in ’21 and would be priced at around 40 lakhs. Along with a powerful petrol engine, the sedan would flaunt a jaw-dropping 8-speed automatic transmission. Blending sophistication with comfort Audi A4 offers a very enjoyable driving experience.
Audi, Porsche, Toyota, Hyundai, Mahindra have all got cars launching to kick-off 2021. BMW M5 Facelift, Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine, Porsche Taycan are set to come out next year and has positively gotten us drooling. All the more reason to look forward to 2021 we would say!
