What’s a good car brand in India?
There is no one best car brand in India; rather, it boils down to which model or brand appeals to the most potential customers at the time of car sales in 2022. The type of customer you are selling to will have a big influence on your choice of car brands and models, as well. Some people buy a particular model for comfort, safety, driving experience or convenience, and others opt for sportier cars that deliver speed and performance.
Maruti Suzuki has some cult status among young urbanites who appreciate its affordable and practical car models, such as Swift Dzire. Other economic indicators are related to second-hand car sales.
For example, having more than a 3% share compared with its closest competitor (in terms of total sales) is considered good by many investors who believe that “good brands sell more than any other factor”. Still, others prefer luxury cars with sophisticated interiors, while some people look towards SUVs because they can carry luggage and passengers comfortably.
Which car brands do Millennials gravitate towards?
Millennials are Prime customers when it comes to purchasing new cars over the next 5 years since nearly half (46%) say they intend to buy a new vehicle during this period—a figure that exceeds the number planning on upgrading from their current vehicle (38%). They also have higher income levels than previous generations; hence they can consume more products than older consumers.
Their preference for luxury vehicles stems from past experiences with parents who preferred high-end vehicles when they were growing up—though now almost twice as many parents consider value vehicles like the Hyundai i20 better options for their children’s future mobility needs, especially if they are planning to buy a new vehicle for their children. The younger generation is also more likely to purchase a vehicle with eco-friendly features like hybrid engines, turbochargers, and automatic transmission; they are also more inclined towards owning luxury SUVs, MPV, and compact sedans.
