It goes from 0-60 in 2.2 seconds, and it reached this top speed on Volkswagen’s Ehra-Lessien test track. It churns out 1600hp. Despite that, it does not officially hold the world record, as it did a single run in one direction for whatever reason undisclosed by the brand.

Hennessey Venom F5
The second car on our list is the Venom F5 by Hennessey; it is powered by a 6.6-litre twin turbo lump that churns out 1817hp and 1617Nm torque. It goes from 0-60mph in 2.6 seconds. The Venom F5 has a top speed of 272mph but this American beast can go faster, and Hennessey might get over 300mph with this old-fashioned V8.

It is almost entirely made of carbon fiber, which helps keep the weight down and accelerate better.
