Mahindra has been working on the 2020 Mahindra Thar for quite some time and we cannot wait to look at what it has to offer. There have been various speculations around the vehicle that weather it will have the same design as its predecessor or will it offer something new? We believe that Mahindra will showcase the vehicle at the Auto Expo 2020 which is scheduled for next month and launch it shortly after the event.
The video shown below was uploaded by Automobile Enthusiast’s on their youtube channel a few days back. The video shows the interior and the exterior of New Mahindra Thar. From the video, It is very clear that Mahindra has put in a lot of work at the car’s exterior.
The dashboard area and door pads of Thar have been camouflaged in accordance with the car’s exterior. The touch screen infotainment system, The chrome garnish on AC vents and the steering wheel have been updated and will come with cruise control switches. The gear knob may have a power window switch behind it and for the first time, the 2020 Mahindra Thar will get a hardtop version straight from the factory. Also, the fog lamps are inbuilt in the front bumper and side indicators are inbuilt in fenders.

The 2020 Thar might come in both manual and automatic transmission. Rumours also suggest that the new Thar may have a new 2.0-litre diesel engine similar to the new-gen Scorpio and XUV500. It will continue to get 4×4 drivetrains similar to its predecessors. The car may also feature multiple airbags, ABS and parking sensors. Now with all the new features and designs, we believe that the new 2020 Mahindra Thar will have a higher price than its earlier model.
With the New Scorpio to be launched soon, it will be interesting to watch our Mahindra Thar standing against the big giant which has dominated the market for decades. The Mahindra Thar current price is currently priced from 9.59 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
