2022 Kia Sportage Officially Teased Ahead Of Launch. India Bound?

The next-generation 2022 Kia Sportage has just been teased ahead of its official launch in July-August. To the uninitiated, the Sportage is an international crossover from the house of Kia. Kia very recently teased us with three new shots of the fifth-generation Sportage which as Kia exclaims is based on its Opposites United design philospohy.

On the front, the Kia Sportage sports its signature DRL running through the width of the crossover. Its is very visible that the Sportage takes a lot of cues from the EV6 electric crossover especially if you look at the body lines, rooflines and the many curves.

The interior is what will catch the most eyeballs as obvious from the teaser images. We find a hige all-digitak dashboard that spans almost the edge to edge of the interior.

Commenting of the upcoming Kia, Karim Habib, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Design Center said; With the all-new Sportage, we were fully focused on challenging ourselves and pushing our fifth-generation SUV to a new level.

As of now, it is not clear that Kia will be launching the Sportage anytime in India. However, we so want a crossover segment in India (Looking at you S-Cross!). Kia has made its intentions clear of focussing only on SUVs and MPVs in India. Keep watching this space for more 🙂
