The WagonR is among the popular entry-level hatchbacks offered by Maruti Suzuki. WagonR has been on the roads for more than two decades. Maruti Suzuki is planning big for this year and has already launched the 2022 Baleno; let’s see what’s new in the 2022 WagonR:

Dual-tone exterior
The 2022 WagonR will be available with a Dual-tone paint job for the exterior. The colour combinations could be like the magma grey or gallant red with a black roof, and it goes along with the respective colours.

The car also gets new black inserts for the headlights, a darker front grille, and stands on new black alloy wheels.

Reworked variant lineup
Maruti Suzuki has also taken the opportunity to rework the variants offered along with this update. They are offering a better configuration to the WagonR buyers and introducing a new fleet variant known as the Tour H3 for commercial buyers.

In addition to that, the VXi variant also gets a factory-fitted CNG kit, but the newly introduced 1.2-litre petrol engine would only be available with the new ZXi trim only. here we have the list of the variants along with the prices:

Reworked Interior
The old theme has been replaced by a new beige & dark grey melange theme with better upholstery in the 2022 WagonR. It also has some new features such as the auto start/stop system along with hill-hold assists for the AMT variants.

The 7-inch Smartplay infotainment unit now comes with satellite navigation with connected car-tech.

New Engine & Better Fuel Efficiency
The smaller 1.0-litre three cylinder engine delivers a fuel efficiency of 25.19 km/l with the AMT transmission. they have enhanced the mileage by 15% with this variant while the CNG variants deliver an even higher efficiency of 34km/kg.

Coming to the new and bigger 1.2-litre engine that churns out 88hp with a claimed fuel efficiency of 24.43km/l with the AMT gearbox. This is an enhancement of about 19% as well.

Updated Pricing
The new 2022 WagonR has a revised price range. It starts from ₹5.40 lakhs for the LXI variant and goes up to ₹7.10 lakhs for the top ZXI+ dual-tone trim. What do you think about this update?
