Auto Expo 2020 is just around the corner and here is a list of 5 cars that will be coming to it and cost less than 10 Lakhs INR.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis
Maruti Suzuki Ignis which was released in 2016 with its micro SUV tag is going to get a facelift this year. The engine on the 2020 Ignis is expected to be a 1.2-litre petrol engine. Because it’s a BS6 engine the efficiency will take a hit. The power output will be 82 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. The new Maruti Suzuki Ignis is expected to launch around halfway through 2020 and will be rival to the likes of Renault Kwid, Tata Tiago and Ford Freestyle.
Maruti Suzuki XL5
Maruti Suzuki XL5 will have a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre four-cylinder inline petrol engine will be capable of generating maximum power of 82 hp and a peak torque of 113Nm. The car will have a 5-speed manual gearbox as well as 5 speed AMT. Since the car will be an upgraded version of the already available WagonR, The XL5 is expected to be priced in a range of ₹5.50-6.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Renault Kwid
Renault Kwid is one of the most affordable hatchbacks in India will also be showcased in the Auto expo 2020. The new BS6 engine will cause some dent in the economy as it employs the use of new parts to reduce emission, in turn, making the car use more fuel. The power output of Kwid will be 54 hp and 72Nm torque.
Hyundai i20
The new Hyundai i20 will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine outputting 83HP of power and 114Nm peak torque while the diesel will provide 90hp and same torque. It is expected to be 20,000 INR more than the current version. The new variant will be a rival of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Ford Figo and Volkswagen Polo.
Hyundai Santro
One of the most common household name when it comes to cars Hyundai Santro will be receiving a BS6 to continue in the Indian market as there is no reason to stop. It will most probably be showcased in Auto Expo 2020. It will be a bit costlier than the current model but will still stay below the double-digit mark in Lakhs.
Many more companies are also expected to showcase their cars even though a good number of companies are not showing up for the Expo.
