A lot of car launches that were going to happen in the month of March and April have moved ahead due to the lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic. This, however, didn’t stop some carmakers and they launched their new and updated cars anyways. Here is a list of 5 such cars that launched even though the lockdown was in place.

MG Hector BS6 Diesel
Hector with a BS6 compliant Diesel engine was launched on April 10th. It dint get any other changes due to the car being fairly new in the Indian market and does not need a facelift as of now. The price hike due to BS6 is around 44,000 INR. The SUV is now priced at 13.88 lakhs starting to 17.72 Lakhs INR.

Tata Nexon XZ+ (S)
Launched on April 3rd, the Nexon XZ+ (S) variant is priced at 10.10 Lakhs INR. It is a bridge between the mid variants and the top variants and shares more features with the top trim sans some exclusive things like iRa connected app and so on.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio BS6
Listed on the company’s website on April 2nd 2020, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio has undergone a price hike of 15,000 INR to make up for the BS6 upgrade. It is offered in four variants.

2020 Hyundai Verna Facelift
Launched on March 30th, Hyundai Verna along with getting a facelift is also made BS6 compliant. There are various new things in the newly launched car mainly a new redesigned grille, new rear bumper and diamond-cut alloys to name a few. The car is priced at 13.99 Lakhs for the top trim.

2020 Mahindra Bolero Facelift
The Bolero Facelift was launched on 25th March and is priced at 7.76 lakhs going up till 8.78 Lakhs. The engine is now BS6 compliant and it gets new features and cosmetic upgrades like new headlamps, front bumper redesign and many other changes.
All these cars are expected to perform well after the lockdown ends and people can buy cars again.
