5 Kia Seltos Rivals that Debuted at The 2020 Auto Expo

Kia Seltos made its first debut in August in 2019 and is at the top of the list of the customers since. But Kia’s offering might be in trouble as 5 new cars were showcased in 2020 Auto Expo could snatch its crown. The SUV offers many trims having a feature-packed and occupant safe cabin. Super exciting performance with a complementing 7-Speed DCT Gearbox (Automatic transmission) gives the SUV its even more sporty stance and character. Will the Kia Seltos be able to save its crown?

In Auto Expo 2020 several mid-sized SUVs were revealed. These ready to give Kia a tough competition and a reason to worry.

  1. 2020 Hyundai Creta

    Expected Price: ₹10 lakhs to ₹16 lakhs

    The Kia‘s parent company Hyundai made showed off the new 2020 Hyundai Creta. The new Creta is even more bank for the buck than before as it offers many new features some being first in the segment and a whole load of engine options with different transmission configurations.

    • Engine
      We expect options to include a peppy 1.4litre Turbo petrol (140ps power, 242Nm torque) mated to either a 6-speed manual or sporty DCT- automatic transmission. A 1.5liter naturally aspirated petrol engine (115Ps power, 144Nm torque) with a manual and automatic transmission or 1.5litre diesel (115Ps power, 250Nm torque) with both the transmission options are anticipated.
    • Features
      Hyundai Creta is first to have a segment-first panoramic sunroof, a premium sound system and much more add zing to the vehicle.
  2. Volkswagen Taigun

    Expected Price: ₹10 lakhs to ₹16 lakhs

    VW’s Taigun was showcased in 2020 AutoExpo and it is more than just a concept version. Volkswagen plans to launch its first in segment SUV sometime in April next year.

      We presume that the Taigun will be offered with a couple of petrol engines. A 1.0Litre engine (115ps power, 200Nm torque) and 1.5litre engine (150ps power, 250Nm torque) both mated to either a manual or an automatic transmission.
    • Features
      The Taigun is likely to get a 10.25″ touch screen infotainment system with many connected features like smart start/stop function, pre-cooling of the cabin and a sunroof to complement the luxuries.
  3. Skoda Vision IN

    Skoda showcased its vision first time in Auto Expo 2020. The car is based on VW Tiguan’s platform. Not just the platforms but also the engine options and feature list might get carried over with Skoda’s offerings.

    The Early S-Cross was not as successful as Suzuki expected. The first petrol Maruti Suzuki S-cross was showcased in 2020 Auto Expo. This time Maruti Suzuki has its hopes high with the showcasing of a petrol engine in S-Cross.

    • Engine
      The car is power with a 1.5litre Petrol engine (1.5Ps power, 138Nm torque) which is carried over from the BS6 Ciaz, New Vitara Brzza and XL6. The engine is expected to be mated with either a manual or a first-time automatic transmission.
    • Features
      It is highly likely that the new S-Cross will get minor tweaks and would retain the maximum of the previous features.
  5. Renault Duster Turbo

    Expected Price: ₹10 lakhs to ₹14 lakhs

    Renaut plans to discontinue the diesel engine it is highly likely that they’ll be introducing new engine configurations and some tweaks in features as well as styling. With the offering, the Duster might become the most powerful SUV in this price segment.

      The new Duster Turbo is going to offer a 1.3litre turbo petrol engine (156ps power, 250Nm torque) mated to a 6-speed manual and an automatic transmission.
    • Features
      The new offering from Renault might have many features carried over and some new trending connected features.
