1. Maruti Suzuki Swift (19,202 Units)

India’s most trusted hatchback! The Swift was in at second place last month, and now it has moved up to first! There’s no question as to why this car comes on the top 10 cars in February 2022 list! So, let’s go ahead.

2. Maruti Suzuki Dzire (17,438 Units)

The Dzire has also climbed up the ladder last when compared to last month. Increasing sales both on the private and commercial front have led to this. The Dzire also gets a CNG option, making it more lucrative for cabbies.

3. Maruti Suzuki WagonR (14,669 Units)

The WagonR has taken a bit of a hit as compared to January 2022, when it sold over 20,000 units! The WagonR is a spacious, practical and very fuel-efficient car, and this checks every requirement an average Indian buyer has. Hence it is no surprise that it comes in the top 3 of this list even after over a 25% decrease in sales!

4. Maruti Suzuki Baleno (12,570 Units)

Now, this is not the recently launched variant. This is the older generation of the Baleno that’s doing so well. With all the new designs, features and safety that the new Baleno gets, this number will surely go up!

5. Tata Nexon (12,259 Units)

The Nexon has been consistently appearing on this list for a while now. This shows that the buyers have really started to trust Tata Motors. The Nexon starts at around Rs.8 Lakhs, which makes it a good buy especially if you’re looking for a bigger car on a smaller budget.

6. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga (11,649 Units)

The Ertiga has evolved into the most sought after MPV for commercial purposes. It can fit in 7 people, at almost half of what the Innova costs. It also gets the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit which makes it even more affordable.

7. Maruti Suzuki Alto (11,551 Units)

The Alto, although is 7^th on the list of top 10 cars in February, it has dropped down. It still remains one of the best cars for first-time buyers. It has a decent engine, comes with the option of an AMT and offers great fuel efficiency. All this comes in at under Rs.5 Lakhs!

8. Hyundai Venue (10,212 Units)

The Venue is one of the best selling sub-compact SUVs in India. It directly competes with the Tata Nexon, KIA Sonet and the Mahindra XUV300. The Venue gets a host of engine and transmission options which really helps it in widening its customer range!

9. Maruti Suzuki Celerio (9,896 Units)

The Celerio is Alto’s bigger sibling. It gets slightly more space, a bigger engine, and a couple of extra features. The Celerio is one of the most fuel-efficient automatic cars one can buy in India. This makes it a perfect and convenient city car!

10. Hyundai Creta (9,606 Units)

The Creta has been on and off this list for the last few months now. In all its glory, it has even been in the top 6 of this list! Sales have come down a bit due to the semiconductor shortage. Deliveries and delayed and waiting periods are way too high to attract newer customers.
