BMW, the German luxury automaker, has finally thought of its customers who prefer Android over Apple IOS. The company recently announced that the customers will get free Apple CarPlay, and now confirmation has been made by BMW that the customers will get Android Auto support by the mid of 2020.

- It is worthy to note that one of the biggest complaints by the BMW customers was that the cars had no android support as the current cars come with Apple CarPlay only. It’s good to know that such complaints are beating the engine complaints as this shows that the company is building quality.
- BMW will be displaying the wireless Android Auto connectivity technology at the global stage for innovation, CES 2020 after which the cars in the global market having BMW’s Operating System 7.0 will get the service.

- Unlike the normal android auto support in which the user has to connect to the infotainment system, the wireless Android Auto system connects the user to the infotainment system automatically using the Bluetooth interface upon entering the vehicle. The Apple CarPlay also works the same way in the BMW cars.
- The Android Auto will be integrated into the new digital cluster of BMW. This will add to the connectivity for sure. It can be expected that by this system to show basic AndroidAuto information on the head-up display.
- This feature will surely make way to the Indian markets, although it is not sure whether the release timing will be the same as that of the global launch or not.

For the time, the models selling in India will be getting a BS6 upgrade which will lead to nearly 6percent price hike, confirmed by BMW India. BMW also launched seventh-generation 3 series sedan in India with a starting price of Rs 41.40 lakhs (ex-showroom).
