Audi has launched the 2022 Q3 into the Indian market after being discontinued due to the BS6 emission norms earlier. This is the second generation of the SUV and packs some new features & tech along with a striking design. Let’s see what they have to offer:
The Q3 will be offered with a single engine option, it will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder TFSI petrol engine churning out 190hp & 320Nm torque. It is mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission along with a Quattro AWD system as standard. It goes from 0-100km/h in 7.3 seconds.
The same engine powers other SUVs such as its elder sibling Q5 and Volkswagen’s other SUVs like Tiguan & Skoda Kodiaq. All these cars are based on the same platform as well, the VW’s Group’s MQB.
Design & Interior
The second generation Q3 is larger than its predecessor with more length & a slightly longer wheelbase. It borrows design inspiration from the Q5 and features an octagonal grille with angular bumper creases, sleek cuts & sharper LED headlamps & wrap-around taillights. It stands on 18-inch alloy wheels and it is offered in 5 colors: Mythos Black, Chronos Grey, Glacier White, Navarra Blue & Pulse Orange.
The interior has been revamped and features a 10.1-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system integrated into the dashboard. In addition to that, it also gets decorative aluminum inserts for the door pads & dashboard contrasting with available themes; Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige.
