Audi finally launched its flagship car the Audi Q8 which is the ultimate SUV. The luxurious flagship from Audi, according to Audi India head, Balbir Singh Dhillon will be unique in its own way.
With the Q8, Audi is going to step in the personalisation segment.
The owner will have a choice of choosing from 54 exterior colours, 11 interior trim options, and 9 wooden inlays are some of the customisation options available for the consumer.
The personalisation options are what that will make each car different from the other, according to the customer’s preference.
For the Audi Q8, Audi is going to go on the CBU (completely built unit) path, which means that the entire car will be built in Germany and then shipped to India to the customers.
The waiting time for the car is expected to be somewhere around 4 months from the date of order.

However, the company will have certain models in their showrooms for customers who want to get their hands on the car instantly.
Price and Rivals
The Audi Q8 is being launched with a price tag of ₹ 1.34 crores onwards. With a hefty price tag, the Q8 will be competing with its rivals like the Range Rover Sport, the BMW X7 and the Volvo XC90 and the Mercedes Benz GLS.
Audi Q8 | Engine Specifications
Audi’s Q8 will be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 TFSI petrol powertrain only and not in the diesel mode yet as Audi wants to stay in the petrol and electric territory only which puts the car in a disadvantage against its rivals, the BMW and Mercedes
The TFSI engine will produce 335 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The car will be driven by Audi’s Quattro-all-wheel drive system along with the 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Audi Q8 | Interiors & Exteriors
The Q8 stands around at 5 metres long and at a width of 2 metres which makes it a bit smaller from its sibling, the Q7.
The smart-looking SUV comes with some prominent and massive octagonal grille, which are the biggest Audi has ever come up with, which when combined with Audi’s matrix headlamps provide a dominating and eye-catching stance.
The rear end of the car comes with a continuous running tail-lamp which gives the car a continuous and fluidic look, adding to its eye-catching characteristics.
As for the interiors, it gets a fully digital virtual cockpit at the front. The faux AC vents at the front give the car a spaceship-like futuristic look.
The Q8 comes with Audi’s Virtual cockpit and a twin touchscreen central console.
The Bang and Olufsen sound system, the ambient lighting, the four-zone climate control system, a panoramic sunroof are just some of the features which makes the Audi stand out.

The car gets some safety and drive-assist features like the 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane change warning, eight airbags, Audi park assist and ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Program).
