    India’s favourite family hatch- the Maruti Suzuki Alto is leading the sales chart this time with a sale of 18,260 units. This means that this hatch has experienced a YoY fall of about 3.4% because, in January 2020, Alto recorded a sale of 18,914 units. As always, we will definitely say that people need to re-think their decision of buying this hatch. Safety is a huge issue within itself but its high time that Maruti needs to give it a facelift.

    Maruti’s Swift is in second place among the top 10 best selling cars in January 2021. With a sale of 17,180 units this time Swift has also experienced a YoY drop. If we compare this drop to Alto, this one is huge! Swift has suffered a 14.1% drop in comparison to what it sold in the same month last year. Swift has been a top-seller for MSIL for months but now we always see Alto stepping up in the game! It will be fun to see how things go in the future.

    Maruti’s tallboy ended January 2021 with a sale of 17,165 units. WagonR has also been an absolute favourite among the Indian audience and is always seen among the top 10 best selling cars. This time, it has landed in the third place but if we compare it to WagonR’s sales in January 2020, it has shown a YoY growth of 12.69% which points towards good times ahead!

  4. Maruti Baleno (16,648 units)

    The premium hatch from India’s favourite automaker is at the 4th place in the list of top 10 best-selling cars in January 2021. Beating its competitors, like always, Baleno is way ahead of Altroz and i20! Not surprising anymore, we are not seeing Glanza in the list anytime soon now. For now, Baleno remains the top-selling premium hatch in India with a sale of 16,648 units with a YoY drop of 18.73%.

  5. Maruti Dzire (15,125 units)

    The top-selling compact sedan in India for the month of January 2021 is Maruti Dzire! No surprises again Maruti’s compact sedan is among the top 10 best selling cars for January 2021 and is on the 5th place with a sale of 15,125 units. Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and the Ford Aspire are still trying to figure out how they will be able to beat this car in terms of sales.

  6. Hyundai Creta (12,284 units)

    The top-selling SUV in India for January 2021 is Hyundai Creta with a sale of 12,284 units. Last year, in January 2020, Creta didn’t do well because it was about to receive a facelift. The 2020 Hyundai Creta was launched at the Auto Expo 2020, and this new design came in with an outstanding amount of sale. Creta saw a whopping 78.02% YoY growth!

    The real MPV is on the 8th place this time with a sale of 11,680 units. Maruti Eeco always comes as a surprise in the list of top 10 best selling cars in January 2021.
