7 Big Cars In India With ACTUALLY Comfortable 3rd Row Seats

The Indian SUV market has grown extensively in the last few years. Tata launched their signature SUV, Safari, and Mahindra introduced the ultimate XUV700, whereas Hyundai launched Alcazar. We have had compact & mid-sized SUVs booming into the market with bigger 7-seater versions too.
But which of these cars have a comfortable third row?

  1. Innova

    While talking about comfortable 7-seaters, Innova is undoubtedly the first candidate that pops into our head. It has been cruising on our roads since 2005, and still, it does not fail to impress us.

    Innova is among the old-schoolers loved by all. It is the first choice for any long tours and road trips with excellent road capabilities and fantastic comfort and interior. Nowadays the Crytsa is running on the roads with petrol, and maybe an electric version is in development too.

    Since the launch, the next candidate on our list is more affordable and has been ruling the MUV segment. Ertiga just got a facelift with a new transmission and still has a waiting period which can even go upto 6-months for the CNG variants.

    Eritga offers plenty in its price range, and the second generation has carried the legacy along well. The interior is one of its advantages, with enough space for all three rows to provide a comfortable ride with easy manoeuvrability.

    Marazzo is the only MUV by Mahindra and comes with the brand’s signature qualities like strength and safety. With a shark-like design, it is one of the underrated cars in the segment that offer a great deal.

    It has enough space and can even accommodate up to 8 people as it comes with both captain seats or a bench seating layout. It is robust, safe, spacious, and reliable. All of these make it a perfect family MUV.

    Coming to Tata’s signature SUV, Safari. The people immensely loved the previous generations of the Safari for their road presence and offroading capabilities. It has been a legendary icon since 1998 and is now back with the latest technology.

    The Land Rover-derived platform gives it an exceptional road stance with a solid and safe build. It has a plush interior available in both 6 & 7-seater variants with captain seats and boss mode for the 6-seater version. It has ample room in each row for a comfortable ride.

    When we are considering spacious & rugged SUVs, we cannot miss the Scorpio by any chance. It has been running on Indian roads for a while and exists both in the used and new car market. It has maintained its dominating presence in the market as Mahindra’s second best seller.

    A generation update is in the works that we have also seen testing for over a year. It is currently offered 7-9 seater options, all respectively spacious and equipped with upmarket and convenience features to add to the practicality and utility.

  7. Gloster

    It is one of the elegant SUVs with a hefty price and a competitor for the previously listed Fortuner. It has a list of premium features with upmarket upholstery and refined luxury in the cabin. It is the first autonomous luxury SUV in India with fans and critics.

    With a powerful engine and AWD for offroading, it has a bright and practical interior with comfortable & spacious seating. It has been running well so far, without a facelift, and is available in both 6/7 seater layouts.
