Indian Automakers might Export BS4 vehicles | Why!?!

The BS6 rollout date is less than a week close. Due to the novel coronavirus, the whole county is on lockdown. There is no movement and almost everything is standstill and so is the Indian automotive industry. The amount of problems the industry is facing is huge.

Reason for Export

The total shutdown of the whole country has an adverse effect on manufacturing plants of the great giants like Maruti Suzuki. Many of the problems have not been united and are giving the Indian automotive sector great trouble.

FADA (Federation of Automotive Dealers Association) proposed the SupremeCourt for an extended with BS4 registration. Now as it has been passed it is not what the dealers would have wanted. A 10-day extension is negligible for the dealers. Along, the second condition is that the dealers can sell only 10% of their leftover BS4 stocks.

After the Supreme court’s decision, we can assume that the automobile manufacturers will try to find another way out. This is where exporting the vehicles comes in.

How will automakers Export?  | BS4 Export

There are many countries that follow the almost the same emission norms as India. In those countries, the cars are right hand driven. The countries include Srilanka, Nepal, and some countries of Africa.

Though India is the largest exporter in terms of the two-wheeler market, it is a totally different story when it comes to exporting BS4 four-wheelers. Not only the emission norms but the right or left-hand drive cars, and the safety norms are also considered when it comes to exporting four-wheelers.

The last major emission change was in 2017 when we shifted from BS3 to BS4. Then the companies were not skeptical. As the vehicles were exported to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Africa. This saved the automobile manufacturers from taking a really big bit in terms of sales of the vehicle.
