The Indian carmaker has dominated the sales chart with its premium hatch- Baleno leading the way! Eeco steals the show every month. Maruti Eeco has always made it in the list of top 10 selling cars in India beating most of the top-spec cars we expect to be on the list!

Hyundai is the second brand which is on the list with its premium hatch i20 and the subcompact SUV- Venue.

1. Maruti Suzuki Baleno

   Toyota had launched the rebadged Baleno by the name of Glanza months ago! We have not seen the Glanza in this list yet. Brand name counts, we must say. The trust Indians have developed for MSIL is the only reason why Baleno is seen in this list every month beating its re-badged counterpart- the Glanza. Baleno has topped the sales chart this time with a sale of total 18,645 units.
   

   

2. Maruti Suzuki Alto
   

   This entry-level hatchback has never failed to impress the Indian audience. Alto has always achieved great sale numbers ever since it was launched. Alto has done great in the last month of December 2019 too. Alto recorded a sale of 15,489 units this December and stood second on the list.

   

3. Maruti Suzuki Dzire

   No matter how many manufacturers hit this segment, Dzire never fails! MS Dzire has always maintained great sale numbers. This time too, beating the brilliant competitors like Xcent, Amaze and the Figo Aspire MS Dzire has stood third in the list of top-selling cars for the month of December 2019.

   

4. Maruti Suzuki Swift

   The hatch counterpart of the Dzire is on the 4th position in the list of car sales- December 2019. Maruti Suzuki Swift recorded a sale of 14,749 units. Swift is a really popular hatch, especially among the young generation. Swift has got sportier versions on the international platforms but we are yet to see the real sporty swift in India!
   

   

5. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
   

   Vitara Brezza took the fifth position in the list. Brezza has shown an improvement from the sales number it could acquire in the month of December 2018. This year, Brezza sold 13,658 units. This number is 3,991 more than what Brezza sold in the same month last year.
   

   

6. Maruti Suzuki WagonR
   

   The tallboy from MSIL has bagged the sixth position in the list. The CNG variant of this car is still the most popular in terms of sales. Hyundai launched the Santro somewhere near WagonR’s facelift but couldn’t beat WagonR in terms of sales. WagonR has sold a total of 10,781 units in the month of December 2019.
   

   

7. Hyundai Venue
   

   Finally, a new brand is here on the list of car sales in December 2019. Hyundai has entered the list of most sold cars with its subcompact SUV, the Venue. Hyundai Venue sold a total of 9,521 units in the month of December 2019. FYI, Hyundai Venue comes with a 1.2L petrol engine, 1.4L diesel engine and a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine. This car has got some really cool specs and features that you must check out!

   

8. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso

   The eighth position goes to the newcomer from the dominating brand. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has done really great in terms of sales from the first month of its launch. Maruti S-Presso was launched in late September and was put on sale from October’19. This hatchback with an SUV like stance has got great competition from Renault’s Kwid but has always lead the way.

   

9. Hyundai Elite i20
   

   Premium hatchbacks are gaining popularity nowadays and following the Baleno, Hyundai’s i20 is the second premium hatch in the list. Talking of the positions, Baleno has taken the lead from a huge difference. Standing on the 9th position, Hyundai i20 sold a total of 7,720 units this month.
   

   

10. Maruti Suzuki Eeco
    

    As we mentioned in the beginning, Eeco is a surprise element in the list. Many newcomers have launched their cars in the Indian market which have top-notch features and specs. Still, Eeco makes it into this list beating those cars! Surprising but true! Maruti Eeco is a utility vehicle and is extremely popular among e-commerce firms for delivery purposes.
