  1. Traction-pro mode

This feature adds to the offroading spirit of the Punch & only available in AMT variants. It detects the traction difference between the front two wheels and alerts the user to enable this feature. It further locks the wheel, getting less traction with a pedal combination & sends power to the other wheel.

This helps to get out of muddy patches where the traction is less, and the car can get stuck. Punch can tackle bad roads well with the 187mm ground clearance and wade through 370mm of water, making it more capable than the competition.

  2. Spacious boot (366 litres)

The Tata Punch is spacious, and the boot space adds to the utility of the car. It has a boot space of 366 litres which is again more than the competitors. This boot space is perfect for holding giant suitcases with additional small ones on the top.

  3. Brake Sway control

This is another safety feature that functions before the ABS acts in case of sudden braking. As it works before the ABS, it further prevents the car from swaying off the road in such situations. Tata introduced this feature in this segment to live up to their reputation of the safest cars.

The Punch is available in four variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished & Creative. While Pure; base model starts from ₹5.49 (ex-showroom) lakhs, the top variant with AMT costs ₹10.17 lakhs on-road in Delhi NCR.

Punch is a good package, but this top variant might seem pricey to some buyers with a not so playful engine.
