Japanese carmaker Honda has recently announced that they have started taking bookings for the Civic BS6 diesel variant which is scheduled to launch in July 2020.
The all-new diesel variant of the 10th generation Civic will join its petrol cousin which was launched back in March 2019 and is currently priced at Rs 17.94 lakh and Rs 21.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Honda Civic BS6 Diesel | Engine Specification
The new Civic diesel will come powered by a BS6 compliant 1.6-litre i-DTEC turbo-diesel engine capable of generating 118bhp of power and 300Nm of peak torque while the power is transferred to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Earlier the company claimed that the BS4 variant of the Honda Civic diesel had an ARAI Certified fuel economy of 28.8kmpl.

Honda Civic BS6 Diesel | Features
Well, nothing as changed in terms of features and despite being an updated model the BS6 Honda Civic continues to support some premium features such as dual-zone climate control, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, smart key, automatic wipers, push-button start, an electric sunroof, keyless entry and many more.
Coming to safety the updated Civic still remains one of the safest cars in India with features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, lane-keeping assist, agile handling assist, HSA (Hill Start Assist), an electronic parking brake, walk-away auto-lock etc.
Honda Civic BS6 Diesel | Expected Price & Rivals
Honda is yet to reveal the revised prices of the updated BS6 Civic. Coming to its rivals just as before will continue to rival the likes of the Hyundai Elantra, VW Passat, Toyota Corolla Altis and the upcoming 2020 Skoda Octavia.
