2023 Creta Facelift

The soon-to-launch 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift has scored a whooping 5-star safety rating in the ASEAN NCAP crash tests. Although, it is a well-known fact that the ASEAN NCAP is one of the easiest to crack.

The test mule is of Indonesian origin and is sold in countries like Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Although, it’s a bit hard to digest that the current gen Creta sold in India had scored 3-star safety in the Global NCAP, which is one of the strictest crash tests.

  • Although, it completely misses out on the knee airbags. Compensating the knee airbags we do get to see seat belt pre-tensioner and load limiter standard across all variants.
  • The test conducted on the Creta included effective braking and avoidance, seatbelt reminders, autonomous emergency braking, and advanced safety assist technologies.
