Hyundai has come up with the latest update in the Indian automotive market. They have given the much required BS6 update to their hatchbacks- Santro, Grand i10 and the Elite i20. The manufacturer has rolled out the petrol variants of the BS6 engines ahead of the April 2020 deadline.

Santro
The legendary Santro is geared up for the BS6 revolution. The 1.1-litre petrol engine has been upgraded to meet the BS6 standards. Both the manual and AMT versions of the Hyundai Santro will continue to exist. At 69PS and 99Nm, the output for the engine remains the same. The prices for the new Santro have gone up by Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 27,000. The new starting price for the Santro is Rs 4.57 Lakh and goes upto Rs 5.98 Lakh. Grand i10
Hyundai has also upgraded the previous-gen Grand i10 to the BS6 norms. The diesel variant had already been discontinued and the petrol version has got an update. The engine is a 1.2-litre petrol engine delivering 83PS and 114Nm while mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The prices have been upgraded. Elite i20
The next-gen Hyundai i20 is much awaited but till then, Hyundai has treated all the i20 fans with the BS6 version of the current model. This car comes with a 1.2-litre engine as in the Grand i10 but comes with a CVT option. The next-gen i20 is expected to provide a 1.5-litre diesel engine option as well. The new BS6 compliant i20 is priced between Rs 5.60 lakh and Rs 9.21 lakh.
