Hyundai is preparing to launch (well, at least revealing details) the 2020 Hyundai i20, its flagship premium hatchback. In the latest line of updates, Mr Tarun Garg, Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyundai has confirmed that the 2020 Hyundai i20 will feature the propriety BlueLink™ connected car technology, which we saw featured on the 2020 Hyundai Creta and the Venue.

Don’t expect the new Hyundai i20 to launch anytime soon, as car manufacturers in India are struggling to make both ends meet. Last month (April 2020), the Indian automobile industry combined reported ZERO sales, which is enough to narrate the present situation of the automotive sector.

Coming back to the list of features, lets first breakdown the list of services that the BlueLink™ connected car technology offers. 2020 Hyundai i20 | Features
The 2020 Hyundai i20 gets a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto enabled. Navigation options are also preloaded into the system. The hatchback also gets a digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system will be complemented by an (optional) Bose audio system with 8-speakers and a sub-woofer.
2020 Hyundai i20 Engine
The new Hyundai i20 will probably share the motor from the Grand i10 Nios which gets 3 engine options; 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo-petrol and a 1.2-litre diesel. For the transmission, we get 4 (2 manual + 2 automatic) options; a 5-speed manual, 5-speed manual, 6-speed torque convertor and a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) automatic.

The 2020 Hyundai i20 is nothing like the previous generation, in term of styling and the looks. It’s totally a brand new car from tip to toe. With Tata Motors setting the standard for safe cars in India, its time for other car manufacturers to up their game. Hence, Hyundai is offering a host of safety features in the 2020 Hyundai i20 like multiple airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and EBD (electronic brake-force distribution) and BA (brake assist), rear parking sensors, speed alert and cruise control. On top of that, Hyundai has also provided Navigation-based cruise control and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) in the new i20.
