Most of the Indian Automotive manufacturers have moved to the new BS6 emission norms, including Hyundai. Nevertheless, the Indian Government has increased the deadline for the sale of BS4 vehicles, the vehicle dealers are at some relief (something is better than nothing). Seems like there surely is an extinction but it comes with few catches. Vehicle dealers can only sell their 10% of their stocks. Moreover, this scheme is not valid in the Delhi NCR region.
Before the extension, it was 31st March as the deadline to get the old BS4 vehicles registered. However, the Dealerships came with a solution and said after 31st too you can buy BS4 vehicles. But there was a catch, you could get the new car with zero kilometers on it but I’ll be a second-hand model. The same was the case with some Hyundai dealerships.
Discounts on Hyundais
Now as the deadline has extended one can buy the old BS4 vehicles at a discount but that is till the stocks last.
Hyundai Cars With Discounts |
|
Cars | Discount And Offers |
Santro | ₹ 40,000 Benefit / Scheme |
Grand i10 Nios | ₹ 25,000 Benefit / Scheme |
i20 | ₹ 35,000 Benefits |
Elantra | ₹ 1 Lakh Benefit |
Hyundai is not offering discounts on other cars as of now but it may change as the nationwide lockdown is lifted. Before the nationwide lockdown, some dealerships had some remaining stocks of Hyundai Venue, Tucson, i20 Diesel. Every BS4 car available had heavy discounts as high as ₹1.5 Lakhs.
No one in the world would have thought about a pandemic at this hour, not even Hyundai. Hyundai launched a couple of its top-selling cars just around the lockdown in India. The company launched the new Creta before the lockdown and the new 2020 Verna amidst of the lockdown.
Once the lockdown is lifted the shops and dealerships will start opening and we’ll be able to carry out normal life forward. The question is, When? We are in this together. Stay inside Stay safe. This shall pass.
