When it comes to Volkswagen cars we know that we are looking at something solid, robust and long-lasting. The company uses the latest technology in each of its new products and never fails to impress its customers.
Volkswagen has already managed to mark its presence in India and has a very huge consumer base. Its earlier productions like Volkswagen Polo, Vento, Passat, and Jetta were really loved by the Indian audience. This year the company might be showcasing the concept form of its Made For India Volkswagen T-Cross at a press night to be held on 3 Feb 2020 and we couldn’t be more excited about it! The SUV may also get unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo.
- The Volkswagen T-Cross is expected to hit Indian shores by September 2021. The Indian spec will have a longer wheelbase compared to the European-spec model which is based on the MQB AO platform.
- The styling of the SUV will more or less be the same as the global model but it will be having some India-specific styling tweaks. The grille and the front bumper area will have more chrome.

- The Indian variant of Volkswagen T-Cross will most likely be based on the MQB AO IN platform. It may have 2,651mm of wheelbase which is almost 90-100mm longer than the European model. This will allow Volkswagen to free up more space and offer larger legroom to the rear occupants.
- Inside the cabin, it will have plush interiors with colour-coded bits. The car will also be befitted with a massive touchscreen infotainment system compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

- The Indian specific Volkswagen T-Cross will have a ground clearance of 205mm. The SUV may come with 2 engine options- a 130bhp, 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder EVO TSI, and a 115bhp, 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged.
- The company may also release a CNG powered T-Cross as well. This SUV will rival the likes of the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Nissan Kicks.
- Volkswagen has maintained its reputation in the automobile market for quite a long time but will it continue to stand up to its stature this time? Well, Only time will tell that.
