When it all began
Back in 2002, Mahindra introduced the Scorpio, the big rugged SUV that keeps you comfortable on all kinds of roads. The SUV came with a chunky 2.6L diesel engine that made 116HP and about 200nm of torque. Back then, features weren’t the biggest thing in the car. However, the Scorpio got all the basics, AC, powered windows, and a stereo system. This was just the beginning of the 20 years of fan-following that the Scorpio was about to gather!

The 2009 facelift
This was more of a cosmetic update. The lights, colours and some design elements were revamped. Mahindra put in efforts to make the Scorpio look more modern and up to date. This was when the Scorpio fanbase was increasing rapidly and Mahindra decided to swoop in a fresh update. The Scorpio also got new alloys with this update.
