The Auto Expo 2023 is around the corner. Top OEMs, including India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, is gearing up to showcase cars that will blow your mind away. So here’s a list of upcoming Maruti Suzuki cars you can catch at Auto Expo 2023.
Maruti’s Expo Lineup
After the success of the new Brezza and Grand Vitara, 2022 has been a wonderful year for Maruti Suzuki. However, despite the success, Maruti still couldn’t regain its 50% market share. And now, in a bid to tackle this situation, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director of Maruti Suzuki, revealed that the company is ready to showcase two new SUVs at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023. One of these would be the much-awaited 5-door Jimny, while the other would most likely be the Baleno-based coupe SUV. Other than these, the MD has also confirmed that the brand will showcase one electric concept SUV (Codenamed YY8), which will be a Creta-sized SUV that might go on sale by 2025.
What to Expect
Other than Maruti Suzuki is all geared up to showcase 16 vehicles at the Auto Expo 2023, will include:

YY8 Concept SUV
The all-electric SUV concept from Maruti, the YY8 concept will be the brand’s show-stopper at the Expo 2023. As large as the Creta in size, the YY8 will offer an estimated range of 500 Kms. Underpinned by the 27PL born-electric skateboard architecture. Co-developed with Toyota, the YY8 Electric SUV concept will be a global product.

Production Version of the 5-Door Jimny
At last, India will witness the production version of the 5-Door Jimny. Expected to ride on a 300mm longer wheelbase than the current gen Jimny, the 2023 Maruti Jimny will also be lengthier. In terms of juice, the SUV will be powered by a 1.5 litre K15 C Dual Jet Petrol engine returning 103 BHP/137NM with Mild-Hybrid tech onboard mated to either a 6-speed torque convertor auto or a classic 5-speed manual.

Baleno Based Coupe SUV
Codenamed YTB, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross SUV coupe could be the next big thing at the Auto Expo 2023. Spied testing a few times now. The Baleno Cross could launch as early as the first quarter of 2023. The new cross will be based on the HEARTECT platform, underpinning the classic Baleno. Likely to be powered by a 1.0-litre Booster Jet petrol engine with both a CVT auto and manual on offer, the SUV-Coupe could also offer the 1.2 litre/1.5-litre Dual Jet engine with Mild Hybrid tech as well.

WagonR Flex Fuel Prototype

Customised Range of its Inventory
As the name suggests, Maruti will also feature a customised range of its inventory, including Grand Vitara, XL6, Baleno, Brezza, Ertiga, Ciaz and others.
The Maruti Suzuki Zone Highlight
Spread across 4,118 mt. Sq. the Maruti Suzuki zone will be at Hall No. 9 at the Auto Expo. The pavilion will be divided into four zones: Sustainability Zone, Technology Zone, Innovation Zone and Adventure Zone. In addition, the OEM will also showcase a Grand SUV Amphitheatre that will display a range of UVs and SUVs by Maruti Suzuki.
