The SUV styled hatchback from Maruti Suzuki i.e. the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is all set to hit the Indian market in a new avatar. No, we are not talking of any facelifts but the automaker is planning to launch the S-Presso in bi-fuel options. The S-Presso will soon have company fitted CNG!

Just like its siblings, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will also get the CNG option in select variants. The source for this report of the S-Presso coming with factory fitted CNG is a report by the Transport department of Delhi. The report further suggests that this CNG engine will be BS6 compliant and will be able to generate 58PS of power, unlike the petrol engine which churns out 68PS.
The transmission on the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso CNG will be a 5-speed manual as is seen on other factory-fitted CNG cars. The company fitted CNG option will be offered in the S-Presso in 3 variants. The Lxi(O), Vxi and the Vxi(O) will have the company fitted CNG option. This means that the entry-level Lxi variant and the top-end variant, the Vxi+ will not have the bi-fuel options.

Going into the detail of the variants, the S-Presso Lxi comes equipped with side body cladding, power steering, sun visor, digital driver information display, AC unit, driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, front seatbelt reminder, reverse parking sensors and speed alert.

The Vxi variant of the S-Presso offers some additional features if we compare it to the Lxi model. These features include body-coloured bumpers, roof antenna, full wheel covers, headlamp on warning, gearshift indicator, distance-to-empty and fuel consumption display on the instrument cluster, two-speaker audio system with Bluetooth, USB & Aux, remote keyless entry, SmartPlay Dock, central door locking, speed-sensitive door lock and accessory socket.
The features and dimensions of the S-Presso will remain same in the factory-fitted CNG variants too.`
